A Prayer for the Sixth Sunday of Easter
Loving Father,
You have called us to love You not only in words, but in the way we live.
Help us to walk in obedience, trusting that Your commands are life and freedom.
Fill our hearts with the peace of Christ, and let our lives reflect His love to the world.
Amen.

Rest in peace

An illustrated talk by John and Sue Peek.
This will be a personal look behind the scenes at some aspects of Swiss life and the
investigation of John’s ancestry (he is ¼ Swiss). Travel within Switzerland and details of the
production of Gruyère cheese will also be included. Refreshments will follow.
(2) All Saints Cafe: Love Mondays
We’re delighted to announce the soft opening of our new café space at All Saints Church,
Ryde, starting Monday 11th May 2026, ahead of our full launch in September.
Join us for Love Mondays, our weekly dedicated wellbeing day, running every Monday from
8:00–12:00. Enjoy complimentary filter coffee, tea, and baked cakes and treats, with barista made coffee also available for a small donation.
This is a relaxed and welcoming space for all — a great opportunity to connect with others,
explore the newly renovated church, and find out more about church life, including Alpha,
upcoming events, and our Love Your Neighbour projects.
We’d love to see you there and welcome members of our local community each week.

Gerald Shaw died a few days ago. He and his wife Margie lived in Pitts Lane and Margie was very active in church matters until Gerald's care required more attention.
We are sorry to learn that Joan Adlam died on the 16th April and will be cremated on the 29th of May at Chichester Crematorium. Joan was the wife of Keith, who was a non-stipendiary priest at HCC and St Peters during the ministry of The Reverend Nicholas Wallace. Nick and Mandy are both now" retired "and live in Wodonga in Australia. Like all priests Nick has been recalled as Vicar of Rutherglen, Chiltern, Barnawartha and Browns Plains until October. He sends his best wishes to all who remember him from his days at HCC and St Peters and he would like to congratulate Joan on her forthcoming 100th Birthday.
Joan L will be 100 on 10th June.
She has asked for the following to be included in the notices:
Joan is having a celebration party at Abbeyfield House, Queens Road, Ryde on June 10
which is her birthday.
All are very welcome to join her but she is insistent that there are to be NO presents and
only FAMILY flowers.
She is going to have a collecting bucket at the party and suggests a £1 donation from
each person which will go Abbeyfield to help towards the cost of the party.
Note: Please inform Aubrey if you intend to go, as numbers are needed beforehand.
Contact telephone for Holy Cross and St Peters
