Lord, when I face fear or uncertainty, remind me that Jesus is near, touching me with His peace and telling me not to be afraid. May the vision of His majesty strengthen my faith, and may I carry that light into the valleys of everyday life.

Prayer for the sick
We pray for those who are sick and who ask for our prayers: Patrick, Mike, Joan C, Emma, Neil, Joan L, Brenda, John and Elizabeth L'E.
We also remember silently in our hearts:
Heather, Jackie, Ann, Dave, Monica, Hester, Kerry, Izabel and Paul. Rest in peace
We remember those who have died recently and pray for their families at this sad time.

Lent course
We shall be using the Church of England’s recommended booklet ‘Draw Near’ available from Eden Books @ £2.69 for a single copy. At Holy Cross, the discussion group will start on Wednesday 25th February at 7.30 pm, when we will have the first week of daily readings to discuss. At St John’s the start will be on Thursday 26th February at 11 am. Please sign up on the lists at the back of the two churches.
Easter Egg Raffle 2026
We shall be having our lovely Easter Raffle again this year and Tina said she would very much like someone to help her. This is a very well organised and popular event. Please have a chat with Tina if you can help in any way.

Church opening
