A Prayer for Mothering
Sunday Loving God, on this Mothering Sunday, we give thanks for the gift of mothers — for their care, their patience, and the love that shapes our lives. We remember with gratitude those who have nurtured us, whether by birth, adoption, friendship, or faith. Bless all who offer a mother’s love in any form, and help us to reflect Your tenderness in our own lives. May our homes and hearts be places of welcome, where Your compassion is known and shared.
Amen.
Prayer for the sick
We pray for those who are sick and who ask for our prayers: Patrick, Mike, Joan C, Emma, Neil, Brenda, John, Gordon, Tim, Catherine and Elizabeth.
We also remember silently in our hearts: Heather, Jackie, Ann, Dave, Monica, Hester, Kerry, Izabel and Paul.
Rest in peace
We remember those who have died recently and pray for their families at this sad time.
In Memoriam
We pray for all those who remember the anniversary of those who are recorded in our memorial book for this week
John Webster Walker, Frederick George and Winifred May, Lily Hillman, David John Bayley, Ellen Hendy, George and Evelyn Mary Willett, Hilda Ethel Cook, Graham Leslie Joyner, William George Rorich, Frederick Harold ‘Fred’ Winter
