Holy Cross Binstead

and St Peter’s Havenstreet

in the Ryde Plurality

A Prayer for the Eleventh Sunday after Trinity

Heavenly Father,

You see beyond our words and actions, into the depths of our hearts.

Like the woman who would not give up,

teach us to come to You with bold and humble faith,

trusting that Your mercy is greater than our needs.

Not because we are deserving,

but because we know You are faithful.

Amen.

Readings for the Eleventh Sunday after Trinity

Isaiah 56 1 and 6 - 8;

Romans 11 1 – 2a and 29 – 32;

Matthew 15 [10 – 20], 21 – 28

Prayer for the sick

We pray for those who are sick and who ask for our prayers: Patrick, Joan C, Emma, Brenda, John, Tim, Catherine, Elizabeth, Millie, Jackie, Paul B, Clay and Dariel. We also remember silently in our hearts: Heather, Ann, Dave, Monica, Hester, Kerry, Izabel and Paul.

Rest in peace

We remember those who have died recently and pray for their families at this sad time.

In Memoriam

We pray for all those who remember an anniversary of those who are recorded in our memorial book for this week

Jane Elizabeth Pearson

THANK YOU

An enormous thank you to everyone who helped in any way to make the internment of ashes of my darling husband Arthur such a wonderfully successful afternoon.  He was well-loved as a husband, Dad, Granddad and brother and of course a friend of everyone who knew him.

The weather and surroundings for our tribute cream tea all helped to make it a truly memorable occasion.  He now rests in peace in the beautiful grounds of Holy Cross church, a place he loved.
