A Prayer for the Third Sunday of Easter

Heavenly Father,

Lord Jesus, walk with us as You walked with the disciples on the road to Emmaus. When our

eyes are clouded by doubt or sorrow, open them to see You in the Scriptures and in the

breaking of bread. Let our hearts burn within us as we hear Your voice and recognise Your

presence in our lives.

Amen.

(1) 'A peek behind the scenes at Switzerland'

An illustrated talk by John and Sue Peek. This will be a personal look behind the scenes at some aspects of Swiss life and the investigation of John’s ancestry (he is ¼ Swiss). Travel within Switzerland and details of the production of Gruyère cheese will also be included. The talk will be followed by refreshments.

Joan L will be 100 on 10th June.

She is having a buffet party at Abbeyfield between 16:30 and 19:00 and is inviting friends to attend.
