The Churches of

Holy Cross Binstead

and St Peter’s Havenstreet

in the Ryde Plurality

A Prayer for the Fourth Sunday after Trinity

Father, I thank You for the gift of life and for every small act of kindness that can change a

person’s day, a person’s outlook, or even their life. It is easy to overlook the significance of

giving a drink, of the gesture of sharing, especially when it comes to the little ones, the

vulnerable among us. Teach us, Lord, to see beyond the physical act and to recognize that

every cup of cold water given in Your name is a reflection of Your love and grace.

Amen.

Readings for the Feast of St Peter the Apostle celebrated on the Fourth Sunday after Trinity

Ezekiel 3 22 – 27;

Acts 12 1 – 11;

Matthew 16 13 - 19
