Prayer for the Third Sunday of Easter
Heavenly Father, you reached out to Simon Peter in his guilt and shame and appointed him to be a shepherd of your flock. With faith in your compassion and mercy we commit ourselves into your care. We ask that our lives may be renewed and directed by your loving wisdom so that we may follow Christ, not in our own strength but by your grace and blessing.
Amen.
Prayer for the sick
We pray for those who are sick and who ask for our prayers: Patrick, Peter, Mark and Debbie, Mike, Joan C, Emma, Arthur, Russell and Janette. We also remember silently in our hearts: Heather, Jackie, Ann, Dave, Daisy, Brenda, Monica, Hester, Kerry, Izabel, John and Paul.

Message from David Langdon
David Langdon would like to express his very grateful thanks to all congregation members for the card and
present that was kindly presented to him at the recent APCM at which he ended 30 years as Churchwarden
of Holy Cross. He says “It was my privilege that members of the parish considered me worthy to hold that lay
leadership post for the parish especially during the more recent period of extended parish vacancy.”
