Prayer for the Third Sunday of Lent
Gracious Lord,
You meet us in the heat of the day, when our hearts are weary and our burdens heavy.
Like the woman at the well, we come with empty jars,
longing for the living water only You can give.
Quench our thirst with Your truth, wash away the dust of our striving,
and fill us with the joy of Your presence.
May our lives overflow like a spring,
bringing refreshment, hope, and grace to a thirsty world.
Amen.
Prayer for the sick
We pray for those who are sick and who ask for our prayers: Patrick, Mike, Joan C, Emma, Neil, Joan L, Brenda, John and Elizabeth L'E. We also remember silently in our hearts: Heather, Jackie, Ann, Dave, Monica, Hester, Kerry, Izabel and Paul.
Rest in peace
We remember those who have died recently and pray for their families at this sad time.
In Memoriam
We pray for all those who remember the anniversary of those who are recorded in our memorial book for this week
Aaron Dunford, Edith Elizabeth Elvy, Marianne Wendy Measures, May Nunn, Edward Randall, Winifred Lugg, Walter Thomas Scrivenor, Amanda Leanne France, Peter Langdon, Olive Gladys Taylor, Alice Jane Hamer
