A Prayer for the Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity

Thank You for the example of Jesus, who willingly walked the path of sacrifice for our

salvation. When the road ahead feels heavy or uncertain, give us courage to follow You without hesitation. May our lives reflect the love, humility, and obedience of Christ, until the day we see You face to face.

We pray for those who are sick and who ask for our prayers:

(1) Sunday Afternoon Teas

Sunday Afternoon Teas are happening until the 13th September at Holy Cross from 2:30 to

4:30pm. There is a rota in church and any help with serving teas/providing cakes or assisting with washing up etc will be very welcome

(2) Living Faith Module 3: Questions of Faith

This will start by zoom at 7.30 pm on Friday 4th September. There are 10 weekly sessions

Help required

Paul and Sandra would like a bit of help with cleaning the church on Monday mornings 9.00 to 10.30.

After the work in the chancel there is some very fine dust around the woodwork and it needs a fine brush and some patience - lovely as the carvings are they do attract the dust.

Nothing heavy; you can even sit down if necessary. Ring (01983) 638198 if can spare some time.

Church Road closed 25 May – 31 July; Pitts Lane closed 31 July – 9 October

(As of August 23rd, Church Road was still closed and Pitts Lane remained open:

the gas main upgrade turns the corner of Church Road into Pitts Lane this coming week)
